CV/ BIOGRAPHY
Born 19/09/1985 in Bobo-Dioulasso (BURKINA FASO / WEST AFRICA), Boureima Nabaloum was educated in Yako, a town north of Burkina Faso, with his grandfather. Self-taught, Passionate about drawing since elementary school, he devoted himself fully to this activity from the age of 15 years. After participating in several exhibitions and paintings to the achievement of a collective Comic; he self-published his first album in 2007 entitled “The Rise of Albino mask” Bobo-Dioulasso in collaboration with FASO-BOOKS. Bronze Award in 2013 at the international competition Manga Award, Japan. Always looking to deepen his artistic experience, he participated in 2008 in an animation training organized by the Institute IMAGINE Gaston Kabore where he comes pledged a certificate in animation. Painter, illustrator, cartoonist and now leader in animation, he participated in several artistic events in his country and outside (Europe-Africa) namely exhibitions of his paintings, the International Festival of Caricature and newspaper cartoons of Ouagadougou and the International Festival of Comics of Algiers, all in 2011. Since January 2014, he is a founding member and coordinator of the Association Centre CAR root Atelier association and a drawing scenario. The association initiated the International Festival of Comics Ouagadougou FIBDO whose second edition was held in March 2015
Forced to venture into exile since May 2016 in the United States, following the socio-political situation and the threatening insecurity he is experiencing in his country, the artist finds refusal in the Bronx in New York where he lives and work.
Today Nabaloum (BoNa) is a professional artist with a rich career, and Afric Art Group LLC Owner since January 2023. He lives now and works in Bronx (New-York) since 2016
